That rough construction product that doesn’t look pretty in it’s pre-finished state! But, this board is strong and durable and the unique makeup of the strands creates a surprisingly nice design that really pops when printed. Long hidden away, OSB traditionally viewed as useful for nothing more than construction are now being allowed to shine. The raw beauty of this functional material is currently in vogue — and for good reason.
OSB uses chips (or strands) of wood rather than continuous veneers, which are lined up at right angles to one another (or oriented) to make the board strong in all directions. Adhesives are added to the wood flakes before they are compressed into a board and coated with sealant to protect the material from moisture. Not only does this ‘ordinary’ material offer some considerable cost savings over conventionally display materials, but also offer striking results too.
We take pride in producing the highest printed OSB signs, using graded 9mm OSB from a sustainable source. Each of our printed OSB wooden signs is cut to shape on our CNC before sanding each and every face and edge before printing directly with water-based Latex eco inks with the choice of an optional weather protection coating and range of fixings.
Printed OSB board is a great PVC free alternative for indoor and short-term outdoor display graphics. Suitable for all types of internal signs and display plus the added benefit of being fully recyclable when printed with our eco water-based latex inks.

Please note:
Due to the processes printing onto wood required in cutting the OSB we have a tolerance of +/- 1mm – Please try to avoid thin borders and objects close to the edge as this exaggerates any small movements.
Possible issues printing onto wood:
Unlike paper which is very consistent, our OSB has various colours of the wood flowing though it. This adds to the effect of the print and final finish but can also place unwanted flecks or specks of grain in areas which you may not want them ie. on faces within eyes or nose or in areas of print where the design makes them obvious. If you want to avoid this then please use the spot or flood white ink printing options where a layer of white ink is laid down by the printer under neath the colour which adds a blockout effect to stop the texture showing through.
